Fairhaven home sale tops $2.9 million as September deed count reaches three dozen
Fairhaven recorded 36 property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, with 19 carrying a sale price so far ranging from $205,000 to $2,945,000 and a median of $511,430. The month's top sale was 1 Smugglers Road at $2,945,000, sold by Keith Decker to David P. Schenkein, trustee. Roughly a third of all recorded transfers were between parties sharing a last name or into family trusts, including a three-parcel sale on Weeden Road and Floral Drive to a Cape Cod conservation trust. The remaining prices are expected to post to the registry within about a week.
